On the weekend of 5-7 December this year we will be celebrating 50 years of ownership of Brookfield by Scouting. To mark the occasion we plan to have a weekend of celebrations and a special badge has been designed.
Free camping has been offered to all Scout Groups and scouting families that weekend and there will also be activities for those Brookfield supporters who are past the delights of camping:
- A luncheon at the Wainuiomata RSA on Saturday with appropriate speeches and toasts.
- A tour around Brookfield on Saturday afternoon.
- Opportunity to see the memorabilia displays
- Snacks and a light meal before the Campfire on Saturday
- Join in the Campfire
- A Quiz about Scouting and Brookfield with fabulous prizes after the campfire on Saturday night. Chance to reminisce with old colleagues.
- Join in the Scouts Own on Sunday Morning
- Brunch on Sunday
- And much, much more
